they are ordered from different dollcompanies that are usually situated in Korea, though there are some in China and some in Japan. You can even find one or two in Europe, not sure about the US.
A quick google search of BJD companies or BJD stores gives you a good list to start.
Den of Angels is a good internasional forum for BJD's and have lots of information avalable on the different companies.
